Polyethylene tubing is also referred to as PE and Poly tubing. Along with the Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) tubing, Freelin-Wade also offers a similar polyethylene products called Liquiflex.

Known for its environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), the LLDPE tubing offers puncture resistance and is impermeable to gasses and moisture.

Liquiflex tubing offers chemical resistance just like polyethylene and is also flexible just like polyurethane. Liquiflex offers 2 qualities into 1 tube. Liquiflx comes from the same family of polymers as polyethylene and polypropylene. It is ideal for fluid handling, low-pressure applications or where you need flexibility and FDA compliance.

Generally when Freelin-Wade talks about coiled tubing and hoses, what differentiates them is the presence of a reinforcement. If it has the reinforcement, it’s a hose. If not, then they are referred to as tubing.

Reinforcement most often comes from a braided thread embedded in the walls of the hose. A hose may also be reinforced other ways, as with our corrugated and asepsi hoses.

In addition to the famous Flexeel® brand hoses, Freelin-Wade offers a variety of coiled and non-coil tubing and flexible hose.

The polyurethane Flexcoil® is the original tangle free coiled hose. The standard Flexcoil comes with reusable fittings, with the option of having strain relief. The Fre-Thane® coils are similar to Flexcoil, but without the fittings. There is also Nylon 11 coils in a mini size, single tube and twin tube.
